Dr. James Pendleton, ND/NMD

Dr. James Pendleton is a primary care physician specializing in naturopathic medicine.

 

With over a decade of clinical experience -and a gentle, healing presence- he integrates the best of both traditional and complimentary healing approaches.

 

Dr. James is a licensed doctor with full prescriptive authority for primary care in Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, and Washington State.


Since Florida is still working on licensure for qualified naturopathic physicians from accredited medical schools, Dr. James practices as a wellness consultant when there, educating clients individually, to achieve optimal health.

 

In Hawaii, Dr. James is a licensed physician, and practices primary care naturopathic medicine, with family emphasis.


Over the past decade, Dr. James has nurtured a family practice in Seattle, directed a VIP medical center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and overseen the research and development for a major nutritional supplement manufacturer in Los Angeles (Irwin Naturals).

Additionally, as an Assistant Professor, he has taught college sciences full and part time at the graduate and undergraduate level.


Dr. James has a passion for herbal medicine, and has studied ethnobotany and herbal healing traditions throughout Central and South America, India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.


Dr. James received his medical training at Bastyr University, a prestigious naturopathic medical school with a rigorous program that integrates both conventional and science-based complimentary approaches to healing. 


Prior to medical school Dr. James received a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Florida Atlantic University, after serving for several years in the US Army as a paramedic.
