Dr James Pendleton is a licensed naturopathic physician with over eight years clinical experience in primary care medicine. He is a licensed primary care provider in Arizona, California, and Washington State.

He specializes in complimentary approaches to cardiology, digestive issues, and women's health.  When Dr. Pendleton is not consulting with patients he either writing or dragging his wife and kids around the world to study the native uses of medicinal plants...

Dr. Pendleton received his medical training at Bastyr University, a prestigious naturopathic medical school with a rigorous program that integrates both conventional and science-based complimentary approaches to healing. 

Prior to medical school Dr. Pendleton received a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Florida Atlantic University, after serving for several years in the US Army as a paramedic. During undergraduate studies, he performed field research in botanical medicine for projects throughout Central America and The Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.

After medical school, Dr. Pendleton nurtured a thriving family practice (Balanced Health) in the Seattle Area for five years while teaching full and part time at several colleges and universities including Bastyr, Shoreline Community College, and Bellevue Massage School.

In 2005, the Pendleton family made a difficult decision and left their practices (his wife Jeanie is a massage therapist specializing in craniosacral therapy) and headed overseas with their then two year-old daughter to explore a more fulfilling lifestyle. 

After several months of exploration in Thailand and Laos Dr. Pendleton became the medical director of a VIP-optimal health clinic in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. During this time he did quite a bit of research in Thailand, India, Turkey, Ecuador, and the Middle East. Last year the Pendleton family welcomed a new addition: Amber Joy, and now have recently relocated back to the US to be closer to grand parents. 

The Pendleton family is still making regular excursions abroad while Dr Pendleton gathers research for several books. 

Dr. Pendleton provides consultations internationally and is currently based in Southern California. He is licensed to practice medicine with DEA number in Arizona, California, and Washington State.
